LaShawn Daniels, the Grammy Award-winning music producer, sparked a conversation on Twitter after providing an example for how Christians can react to homosexual couples on the latest Tamar & Vince episode.
According to Bossip, LaShawn and his wife April Daniels made a guest appearance on Episode 3 of singer and friend Tamar Braxton's hit WEtv show, titled "Don't Judge the Gays." Tamar and her music executive husband Vincent Herbert decided to invite the Daniels on a couples vacation to Mexico.
But LaShawn was surprised to find out that Tamar invited her homosexual friend and makeup artist Terrell Mullins on the trip with his boyfriend Ben. As a devout Christian, LaShawn let it be known that he wasn't comfortable with the relationship. He made it clear that his Christian beliefs have shaped the way he views homosexuality.
"I never dealt directly with a person that was homosexual before I met Terrell. Homosexuality is just frowned upon. It's a sin in the way I was brought up," LaShawn explained.
Ben insisted he had a relationship with God and warned people about judging him and Terrell.
"Regardless of what anybody says, I still have my relationship with God," Ben said, quoting Matthew 7.
LaShawn also made sure to express his respect for Terrell and Ben.
"The Bible says the true way of a Christian is to abide in love. I really in these years have developed a regard for Terrell, because I know he's real," LaShawn told Terrell and Ben. "I want to respect the love that you have for Ben. I don't disrespect you guys, but I respect my lord and savior."

April was proud of her husband's ability to show love in a moment he did not agree with.
"I think in that moment you being well-respected for being a Christian, it was a big moment," April told LaShawn.
According to the Christian Post, a number of people took to Twitter to comment about the exchange that took place.
Some accused LaShawn of being homophobic.
"Lashawn is a homophobe #TamarandVince," one person tweeted.
"I am so over LaShawn and his blatant homophobia it makes me not want to watch the show UGH! #BVF #TamarandVince" another person tweeted.
Tamar & Vince airs Thursdays on WEtv at 10 p.m.
