Google's home entertainment device, Chromecast, has been quite a hit for such a small item. With just about a year under the product's belt, the company is ready to introduce great new apps to the Chromecast's roster, including Starz streaming, Showtime Anytime, and even some family-friendly games!

According to a new post on the official Chrome blog (Via IGN / CNET / Tech Crunch), there are 11 new apps being added to the app page for Chromecast users, with the bigger apps being the premium channel streaming services.
Google is pushing the binge-watching capabilities of these new apps, and has released a promotional video to get us excited for Showtime Anytime and Starz coming to Chromecast! Watch this video here:
The post also details the addition of new family-friendly games that include Scrabble Blitz, Just Dance Now and Wheel of Fortune according to a recent Facebook post on Google Chrome's account. Check out this post right here!
Other games include Hasbro's Monopoly Dash, Connect Four Quads, Big Web Quiz, Emoji Party, and Simon Swipe. Chromecast users are sure to take advantage of these new gaming apps to liven up house parties or hangouts with some fun!
Plus, if you don't have a Chromecast, the device is only $35 and works just like an Apple TV or Roku, with more apps and extensions added all the time!
