The final Season 7 of HBO's True Blood has finally arrived on DVD and Blu-Ray. This is the perfect opportunity to talk abut what we loved and missed about the romantic triangle between Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard) and Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) in the sexy vampire drama.
As we previously mentioned, Sookie (Paquin), Bill (Moyer), Eric (Skarsgard) and the rest of the gang have been dealing with the growing rise of the infected H-vamps. As the plague continues to spread, not everyone is going to make it to the series finale. The cure is out there, with Sarah Newlin (Anna Camp) missing somewhere, and everyone will fight to the true death to get to her.
Here are 5 reasons why we need to have True Blood: Season 7 DVD/Blu-Ray in our hands.
5) Alcide Takes A Hit
Alcide (Joe Manganiello) had a pretty bad death in Fire In The Hole. Standing buck naked, Alcide didn't even realize someone with a gun was standing behind him. We saw Sookie go through various stages of mourning, as she slept with his jacket in a later episode.
4) Jason and Eric
I'm pretty sure viewers were caught by surprise when they saw the Straw Dogs actor in a steamy sex scene with co-star Ryan Kwanten (Jason Stackhouse), which happened in I Found You. The tease hilariously ended with Jason waking up from his sex dream in church.
The best episode True Blood, and my personal favorite, had in their final season. This is where Eric returns to the action after being MIA for so long. Sookie led the charge to fight the infected bloodsuckers at Fangtasia. Definitely missed, Terry Bellefleur (Todd Lowe) came back one last time to speak with Pam.
2) Jessica and Hoyt
Hoyt (Jim Parrack) made a surprise visit to Bon Temps. Who also cheered when Hoyt saved Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) and shot Violet (Karolina Wydra)? The series ended perfectly with these two back together and at the alter.
1) The Ending
Whether or not you were a fan of the final episode, you have to admit, it did get a reaction from its audience. Everyone wanted to know about the mystery man who showed up before the end credits.
The final seventh season of True Blood is out on DVD and Blu-Ray now. Readers, what was your favorite part of the show?
