Real Housewives of New Jersey star Jacqueline Laurita is glad she took time off from the reality show that made her famous, especially after feuding with her sister-in-law Dina Manzo who returned to the show this past season.
"It was just very stressful," she told People. "So I agreed to do it part-time. It's been positive being away from the craziness of the show."
A lot of the reality star's time is occupied by taking care of her youngest child Nicholas, who has autism.
"He is doing so good," she said. "He is making progress. It's definitely a long process, but when I look back to where he was last year or the year before, he has come such a long way."
The Bravo star has found an amazing community of support from other families affected by autism.
"When we first suspected that Nicholas had autism, there was a three-month waiting period to get in to see our developmental pediatrician," she continued. "We met with Generation Rescue and Jenny McCarthy, and they were so hands-on. They have always guided us and given us the support and so much information."
As MStars News reported, Nicholas's aunt Dina was asked at the RHONJ reunion show by host Andy Cohen if she would go meet her nephew if invited by Jacqueline.
"Probably not," she replied. "There's nothing I could do for Nicholas other than pray for him and love him. I'm not Mother Teresa ... Nicholas doesn't know me."
"I don't know Nicholas at all," according to Dina. "The work that I do, I see children in hospital beds attached to machines ... and he's progressing. It's a beautiful thing."
In a Twitter post, Jacqueline was asked if Dina reached out to her or Chris in regards to their son.
She simply answered "Nope!"
Nope! “@maggieldavis: @JacLaurita did @dinamanzo reach out to you or Chris in regards to you son? I guess not.....”

Do you think Jacqueline should return as a full-time "Housewife" on the show?
