MStars News has some BREAKING NEWS, we have learned that two window washers were stuck on a scaffolding outside the 68th floor of World Trade Center tower 1 in the bank district of New York City.
According to TMZ, FDNY quickly came to the rescue to save the employees that could have been a tragic accident.
The gossip site reports that the washers were going to work on the top of the tower around noon est when their scaffold's motors or cables stopped.
The rescue plan was to get the FDNY to break through the glass of the 68th floor where the workers were stuck.
According to ABC, the workers have been pulled in to safety. The news site reports that the firefighters were able to cut through the new skyscraper's glass, and rescue the two employees.
Carol Thomas and Lisa Cogliano, workers for an insurance company, said in shock:
"Oh God, I don't want to know what he is feeling," Thomas expressed. "I can't imagine."
"It's horrific," Cogliano shared. "Hopefully, they find a way to get him out."
1 World Trade Center was reopened to at least 175 employees after the Sept. 11, 2001 terriost attacks last week. So far the publishing company, Conde Nast has been in business in the new tower since the reopening.
