Because of his love for comic books, rapper Ghostface Killah is recreating himself as a vigilante superhero for his new album, 36 Seasons. Talented artists, such as Ming Doyle (Quantum & Woody), David Lapham (The Strain), Michael Walsh (The X-Files: Season 10) have teamed up to bring the innovative concept to life.

Rolling Stone mentions that 36 Seasons tells the story of a hip-hop superhero for the 21st century. In search of redemption, the crime fighter returns to Staten Island to save his community from corrupt authorities and urban decay. The album features guest appearances from hip-hop luminaries Kool G Rap, AZ, and Pharoahe Monch.

According to Comic Book Resources, Ghostface has turned to comic book talents, such as artists Doyle, Lapham, Walsh, Palle Schmidt, Tyler Boss, Artyom Trakhanov, and Aaron Conley, for the 20 page booklet included with the album. Not only is Matthew Rosenberg producing the album, the Intellectual Property scribe also co-wrote the previous 12 issue mini-series that accompanied Ghostface's 2013 album, Twelve Reasons to Die.

If you notice on the Facebook page, an image has also been released from the booklet. If that's his costume, this critic thinks it looks so awesome. The caption states, "Around here, things change with the seasons. And 36 seasons is a long time."
