19 Kids and Counting stars Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are once again in the center of controversy after deleting pictures of same-sex couples kissing on their Facebook page.
When recently married daughter Jessa Duggar posted a picture on Instagram of her and new husband Ben Seewald kissing, the Duggar parents decided to post one of their own on their Facebook with the caption, "God designed marriage to be a loving, dynamic relationship between a husband and wife for a lifetime... Recently, Ben & Jessa received some criticism for posting a kissing picture. We are so grateful they waited to share their first kiss until after marriage. We've been married 30 years and are still in love... We challenge all married couples to take a happily married picture and post it here."
So far, the photo has received over 42,000 likes and over 1,200 shares with many fans posting their own kissing photos. However, when some started posting their same-sex pictures, that's where the TLC stars drew the line and deleted them.
One of those posters, John Becker of the blog "The Bilerico Project," wrote on his site that his picture with his husband had been deleted as well as other same-sex couples.
"Oh no, I think I've been banned from the Duggar Family Official Facebook page! (I'm crying into my coffee cup right now, I assure you)," he posted. "I posted this photo of Michael and me with the following comment: 'Happily married for nearly nine years; working hard for #MarriageEquality for all loving couples."
"It was getting lots of likes, but the Duggars must not have liked it very much - they pulled it down and blocked me from posting, liking, or commenting on the page altogether. How sad that they feel so threatened by other loving marriages," he continued.
Do you think the Duggars were right in deleting the photos even though they issued the challenge?
