It's finally that time of year - hockey season!
The San Jose Sharks battle it out on the ice against the Tampa Bay Lightning in Week 5 of the regular season on Thursday, November 13 at 7:30 p.m. EST at the Amalie Arena in Florida. Read on to see where fans can watch and listen to a live stream of the Thursday evening hockey game online and catch up-to-date feeds and coverage on highlight plays and scores.
Following the first few opening weeks of the 2014 regular season, the Lightning snag the impressive No. 2 spot in Pierre LeBrun's official NHL power rankings for ESPN.com with an 11-3-2 winning record:
"Six wins in a row for a team many picked in the preseason to win the East despite all its youth. Tyler Johnson is proving his rookie NHL campaign was no fluke, leading the Bolts with 18 points (5 goals, 13 assists) in 15 games."
Meanwhile, the Sharks currently hold the No. 14 spot (out of 30 total teams) with a 8-7-2 record. As LeBrun points out:
"The Sharks have played only five of their opening 16 games at home and still have five more games to go on their current seven-game road trek. That's right: They will have played 16 of their opening 21 games on the road once their trip wraps up Nov. 18 in Buffalo."
The game will be broadcasted live on local channels CSCA and SunS, but fans can also listen in on the radio at KHTK, KAHI, 620 WDAE, and WGN.
