Speaking on GMA the trio discussed the fraught relationships between Katniss Everdeen, Peeta Mellark and Gale Hawthorne, with the clip showing a captured Peeta under the thrall of President Snow, urging Katniss and her rebels to stop the war "before it's too late". The clip then shows Gale and Katniss fighting about Peeta's message and what it means for their rebellion.
On a lighter note, Hutcherson also revealed that despite looking pale and wan in the clip, he "didn't do anything" physical for the role, adding that thanks to technology, he went on a "CGI diet".
The trio also talked about how sad they were that filming for the franchise had finished, with Lawrence saying "the funny things is, we still see each other all the time and we still hang out." So we got really sad on the last day, but then we were like, 'oh, we can still hang out all the time". Adds Hutcheron "But it is different, because it's not all day every day for months at a time."
The star then offered up his solution to missing his co-stars and having to work with other people by jokingly saying "I'm retiring."
As for their favourite character that wasn't their own, the two male leads immediately answered "Haymitch" (Haymitch Abernathy, played by Woody Harrelson) while Lawrence offered up Effie Trinket (played by Elizabeth Banks).
Fielding questions from audience members, they reflected on what it's like to be a part of a book adaptation, with Hutcheron saying "We kinda get to go deeper into the story sometimes and show a lot of things you didn't know before."
With the final instalment of the book being split into two movies - following a similar route to Harry Potter, The Hobbit and Twilight - The New York Times examined the idea behind pen-ultimate ultimate movies, and spoke to Mockingjay director Francis Lawrence, who said that the appeal is that "You're really looking at the overall story" when dealing with two 'final' moves.
The Hunger Games - Mockingjay: Part One opens on Nov. 21.
