It's finally that time of year - hockey season!
The Chicago Blackhawks battle it out on the ice against the Detroit Red Wings in Week 5 of the regular season on Friday, November 14 at 7:30 p.m. EST at the Joe Louis Arena in Michigan. Read on to see where fans can watch and listen to a live stream of the Friday evening hockey game online and catch up-to-date feeds and coverage on highlight plays and scores.
Following the first few opening weeks of the 2014 regular season, the Red Wings snag the No. 12 spot in Pierre LeBrun's official NHL power rankings for ESPN.com with a 7-3-5 winning record:
"The Red Wings have dropped four of their past five games and it certainly doesn't help that star center Pavel Datsyuk has missed the past two games. They're off until Friday night, when they host Chicago, followed by a visit from Montreal on Sunday night."
Meanwhile, the Blackhawks currently hold the No. 8 spot (out of 30 total teams) with a 9-6-1 record. As LeBrun points out:
"Finally some goals this past week: five against Montreal on Tuesday and five against San Jose on Sunday, although in between was a 3-2 home loss to Washington. Corey Crawford is off to a terrific start to the season with a .932 save percentage and 1.75 goals-against average."
The game will be broadcasted live on local channels CSNC and FSDT, but fans can also listen in on the radio at WGN, WBUZ, 97.1 The Ticket, and CJBK.
