In a recent interview with USA Today, the animated film's director, Steve Martino, opened up about the details of Nov. 2015 project. In fact, he revealed that he relates to Charlie Brown on a very deep level.
"I wake up every day and it's like, 'Today's the day we're going to win that game! I'm going to kick that football!' As you have more life experience, those things have more meaning," he explained, comparing life to the main problem that Brown faced in most every storyline of the series.
Producer Paul Feig added his own excitement about this film, saying, "You love being back in that world. And you immediately want to grab every kid you know and go, 'Oh, my God, you've got to watch this!'"
