The Flash races towards the CW network with an all-new episode. As more and more people discover about 'The Red Streak," will Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Iris West (Candice Patton) discover his superhero name in "The Flash Is Born?"
In our previous recap, we witnessed the origin story of how Barry (Gustin) ended up with his super-speed powers. Due to a particle accelerator explosion at S.T.A.R. Labs, lightning struck Barry and threw him into a vat of chemicals. Not only did Barry end up with powers, half of the civilian population of Central City became metahumans.
From our latest recap, Barry needed a new costume after his previous one was blown up by Plastique (Kelly Frye). With his super-speed powers, Barry realizes he can run up on the side of building and outrun a explosive shockwave, running past 500 MPH. The military is now involved, especially now that General Eiling (Clancy Brown) has become interested in "The Red Streak."
Things are only going to be get complicated between Barry and Iris (Patton), who has been keeping tabs on the scarlet speedster on her blog. Because she won't shut her site down, Barry thinks they should stop talking to each other for awhile. In the behind-the-scenes video, even Iris' boyfriend Eddie (Rick Cosnett) is beginning to suspect something is up.
In the featurette, Gustin reveals, "Now that she's with Eddie, I know she's not going to feel the same way. Or at least that's what I am expecting."
