The Theory of Everything hit theaters earlier this month, kicking off plenty of critical acclaim and Oscar buzz for stars Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones. Plenty of moviegoers have been gushing about Redmayne's performance as Stephen Hawking, but what does the theoretical physicist himself think of the movie, Eddie's take on his life, and the taking on the portrayal of someone with ALS? Sharing his thoughts on his Facebook account this week, Hawking praised Redmayne and shared more thoughts on the film and his life!

Now, take a look at the video response from Hawking himself via his social media account right here:
"I thought Eddie Redmayne portrayed me very well in The Theory of Everything. He spent time with ALS sufferers so he could be authentic," Hawking said in the video and also expanded on in a written post. "At times, I thought he was me."
In the video, he adds: "I think Eddie's commitment will have a big emotional impact."
"Seeing the film has given me the opportunity to reflect on my life. Although I'm severely disabled, I have been successful in my scientific work. I travel widely and have been to Antarctica and Easter Island, down in a submarine and up on a zero gravity flight. One day I hope to go into space," the Facebook message continues. "I've been privileged to gain some understanding of the way the universe operates through my work. But it would be an empty universe indeed without the people that I love."
