Girl Meets World Spoilers: Rider Strong Returns as Shawn Hunter in New Christmas Episode Photos

Girl Meets World has been on a bit of a hiatus, but the show comes back with a Christmas episode on the Disney Channel on December 5. The episode will feature the return of Rider Strong to the Meets World...world...as Cory's best friend, Shawn Hunter. But he isn't the only returning Boy Meets World character in the episode.

TVLine has posted a batch of photos from "Girl Meets Home for The Holidays" that features Cory and Shawn up to their old goofy ways again. But the site's description for the episode reveals some other BMW favorites will pop up for the holidays.

"Topanga works on executing the perfect meal to put her mother-in-law Amy (played by Boy Meets World alum Betsy Randle) at ease while Shawn (BMW's Rider Strong) sees his likeness in Maya and forms a bond with her and Riley."

The parallels between Maya and Shawn were clear from the beginning of Girl Meets World, as both have that rebellious nature and other side of the tracks upbringing. So it should be interesting to watch the two characters interact and see what Shawn can teach her.

TVLine also reports William Russ will return as Cory's father, Alan Matthews, and Uriah Shelton will appear as Cory's little brother Joshua, who was born way back in February 1999 on Boy Meets World.
