The NBA never sleeps, and the drama never stops. Phil Jackson has slammed his former team, the LA Lakers, even though his NY Knicks aren't doing any better so far this season. Nick Young's return from injury has given Kobe Bryant and company a much needed spark, and will Phil and Carmelo Anthony regret their taunts, and starting this feud? Young has compared himself to Prince and Michael Jackson, and if he has a prolonged impact like them, then the Lakers might just have the last laugh, leaving Jackson with egg on his face.
Jackson has suggested that he couldn't help the Lakers, and that they need "better players," which hasn't pleased anybody in LA. The Knicks have struggled this season, and about the only positive thing in their favor is that Anthony is younger than Kobe, so one can wonder why he made the dig?
Jackson was doing his weekly shop when he was asked if he could coach them out of their mess, when he made the dig at his former team. The Lakers do have Young, who has been a revelation since coming back from a thumb injury. He explained his comeback, saying he's the definition of "swag". He added "I leave a presence. I'm like Michael Jackson, Prince, all those other guys."
With the impact he's had on his return, the Lakers appear to be improving faster than the Knicks, so perhaps Jackson will regret that shopping trip at the end of the season, or perhaps he wanted to provide an extra spark for his former team
