'White Collar' Season 6 Recap: Matt Bomer, Tim DeKay Meet Isaach De Bankolé In "Uncontrolled Variables!"

The countdown continues as USA Network brings White Collar's final season 6 halfway to a close. Neal Caffrey (Matt Bomer) and Peter Burke (Tim DeKay) end up meeting Matthew Keller's handler, Interpol agent Luc Renaud (Isaach De Bankolé), in Uncontrolled Variables. 

Neal and Matthew Keller (Ross McCall) are working together to smooth-talk Amy (Laura Ramsey), who works in an office they need to break into While Amy and Neal become more attracted to each other, Mozzie (Willie Garson) breaks into the vault. It turns out the diss is out-of-date on purpose and holds information they need. 

Mozzie sets up a way the FBI and Interpol can read what's encrypted in the disc. Clinton (Sharif Atkins) and Diana (Marsha Thomason) figure out the disc was holding coordinates to a flight pattern. The Pink Panters are planning something big they have to stop.

Neal has dinner with Amy and uses June as a distraction. Amy and Neal are becoming more intimate, leading up to a kiss. Unfortunately their romance is abruptly put to a halt by Amy's ringing cell. 

Neal texts Peter and tells him that Amy's boss came home early from his flight. Peter's plan is to tell Amy's boss that the robbery was all part of the investigation. With the mission in mind, Luc steals the disc away from Peter and calls Keller to fix things.

While Amy is at home, Keller attempts to hide the disc in her purse, but she unexpectedly spots him. As Keller tires to threaten her with a knife, Neal comes in and stops him. Keller reveals that they are both con men setting her up, which breaks Amy's heart. 

The plan is for Amy to go straight to her boss with the disc. Her boss will threaten to fire her but she will hint at the flaws in their security system. Her boss will then offer her a promotion to keep her quiet.

Everything goes exactly according to plan, except for the end part. Amy actually says no to the promotion that her boss offers. Amy is so angry at Neal; she slaps him and walks away.

At his office, Peter threatens Luc he will arrest him if he ever pulls another stunt like that. With the handcuffs in his hands, Peter promises he will lock him away. Because Interpol is unofficially involved in the case, it would be very easy for Luc to stay hidden.  

Elizabeth and Peter have made reservations  for a special dinner date. They have 6 months before having a baby changes everything. After Peter promises one dedicated father, the lovebirds run upstairs to their bedroom.  

While playing chess, Keller reveals to Neal that even if they stop the Pink Panthers, they are still wanted men. Behind bars, the Pink Panthers will strike back until they are both dead. Everyone that Neal loves and cares about is a target.
