Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan is supposedly hard to work with on-set. So, what does that have anything to do with fellow starlet, Emma Stone?

Apparently, 28-year-old Lohan is jealous of the other red-headed bombshell... because she's currently being offered all the big-time roles!

An alleged source for the infamous gossip webloid Dish Nation reveals:

"Lindsay and Emma are in the same niche and she feels like Emma is stealing roles she should have been offered... Producers looking for red headed, raspy-voiced females to play roles used to want Lindsay, but now they don't want the drama that comes along with her."

"Mean Girl" status, indeed!

Andrew Garfield's stunning 26-year-old girlfriend is considered one of Hollywood's biggest sweethearts. Over the past few years she's snagged starring roles in several popular films including "The Help," "Easy A," "Crazy Stupid Love," and "The Amazing Spider-Man."

The source explains that Stone is simply an easy target for Lohan to place her own personal problems on:

"There was a time when Lindsay was the 'It Girl' in Hollywood, but that time is gone... Emma is the first thought when it comes to casting. She's totally likable, and Lindsay despises her for it."

Right now, Lohan's in London starring in David Mamet's play, "Speed-the-Plow." Apparently she'll head back to the States next year in order to re-launch her movie career. Should Stone watch her back?

The snitch concludes, "Lindsay has a couple things lined up, but nothing big. Nothing like she used to do. And nothing like Emma does! It's easier for Lindsay to blame Emma than to take responsibility for her actions and the reputation she has now."
