With The Flash gaining speed on the CW network, viewers have one more episode before the upcoming DC Comics crossover event, entitled 'Flash vs. Arrow.' After these two superheroes join forces, will Grant Gustin (Barry Allen) and Stephen Amell (Oliver Queen) team-up again to take on Gorilla Grodd?
We previously mentioned, the CW has released the plot synopsis for the The Flash/Arrow crossover episodes. Oliver (Amell), Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) and Diggle (David Ramsey) come to Central City to investigate a case involving a deadly boomerang. Barry needs Arrow and his team to help him find the metahuman Ray Bivolo, who causes people to lose control and somehow infects Barry. With the scarlet speedster on a rage rampage, the Green Arrow is already in danger.
Part 2 continues on Arrow's The Brave and the Bold as Ollie and the gang are still hunting after the boomerang-wielding killer. We already met Captain Boomerang in the cliffhanger after Arrow took on Cupid.
If these crossover episodes are a hit with viewers, will there be more down the line?
Executive producer Greg Berlanti admits to TV Line, "We just started talking about that. It's so much fun to do. They're so hard to do. But I think they'll be so rewarding for everybody, ultimately, that's our hope, for sure."
Check out the behind-the-scenes footage of Amell and Gustin in their cover-shoot for TV Guide here:
Berlanti would need a super villain that both heroes would need to team up against; someone like Deathstroke. In our recent recaps, we saw the beginnings of Gorilla Grodd locked up in a cage and the aftermath of his escape. Could Grodd be the thread that ties them both together?
Berlanti adds, "The comparison I make is a little bit to Slade the first year on Arrow in the sense of we started with the mask in the pilot and then we saw which way we were going. He was, ultimately, in the back half of that first season even more than we would ever do with Grodd this first year because... We're going to have to get the technology right and all the stuff right to make it look and feel real. "
The episode, Flash vs. Arrow, is expected to air on December 2. Readers, are you excited to see Green Arrow and The Flash?
