Survivor Series 2014 Results: WWE Recap: Did Team John Cena Eliminate Team Authority?

The 2014 edition of WWE's Survivor Series emanates live from the Scottrade Center in St. Louis and pits Team John Cena against Team Authority in a battle to remove the Authority from power.

The pre-show begins with Fandango, who is now a salsa dancer. He defeats Justin Gabriel. Bad News Barrett also returns to deliver bad news to both Cena and the Authority. Cesaro comes out to proclaim his neutrality (but still supports The Authority) and Jack Swagger comes out with Zeb Colter to beat him in a match.

Vince McMahon comes out to the ring to welcome everyone to Survivor Series. He introduces The Authority, and Stephanie McMahon says she will not let him down. She starts a "Vince" chant but he gets annoyed and stops it. He brings out John Cena and reiterates the stipulation for the main event.

Cena asks what happens when Team Authority loses, but Triple H says Cena is responsible for putting four men with families out of work. Stephanie says that the Authority would just run the show from Stamford, Connecticut if they lose. Vince clarifies that the Authority would have no influence over the product whatsoever if they lose, and John Cena would be the only one who could bring them back to power.

Stephanie tells Cena to wipe the smug look off his face and says the pressure from Vince will make The Authority's team stronger. Cena says there is "no chance in hell" he would let The Authority back in power.

Damien Mizdow and The Miz defeat Goldust and Stardust, The Usos and Los Matadores in a Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Match to become the new WWE Tag Team Championships. Mizdow tags himself in and pins Goldust after Los Matadores hit a four-man superplex and the Usos hit a splash on Goldust.

Adam Rose is backstage with The Bunny trying to settle their differences. Titus O'Neil and Heath Slater walk in and make fun of Rose, who challenges them to a tag team match later in the night.

The 4-on-4 Divas traditional Survivor Series match is next. Natalya, Emma, Naomi and Alicia Fox defeat Paige, Summer Rae, Layla and Cameron.

-       Naomi eliminates Cameron by pinfall.

-       Alicia Fox eliminates Layla by pinfall.

-       Emma eliminates Summer Rae by submission.

-       Naomi eliminates Paige by pinfall.

Bray Wyatt defeats Dean Ambrose by disqualification when Wyatt begs for a chair shot and Ambrose, after some debate, smashes him. After the match ends, Ambrose plants Wyatt with Dirty Deeds on the chair. He gets a table, places Wyatt on it, climbs the top rope and smashes Wyatt through the table with an elbow. Ambrose gets another table, places it on Wyatt and smashes the table with a chair.

Ambrose leaves the ring and tosses a bunch of chair inside. He starts to leave, but he changes his mind and grabs a liar. The crowd starts a loud "This is awesome" chant as Ambrose climbs the ladder and poses.

Triple H and Stephanie give a pep talk to Team Authority backstage. They both say they cannot lose, they will fight until they cannot fight anymore, etc.

Adam Rose and The Bunny defeat Slater Gator when the Bunny dropkicks Slater from the top rope. The Rosebuds carry the Bunny to the back as Rose looks on in shock.

Roman Reigns comes on the TitanTron and talks about Survivor Series. He talks about wanting to be in St. Louis. JBL asks him about Seth Rollins, and Reigns angrily responds he'll be back in a month.

Team Cena is getting ready backstage when the captain comes in to give a pep talk. Each member pledges to win and Erick Rowan, who had been doing a Rubik's Cube, simply says "win."

Nikki Bella defeats AJ Lee to become the Divas Champion. After the bell rings, Nikki climbs on the apron and stares at AJ. AJ walks over to her and Brie Bella grabs AJ and makes out with her. AJ turns around into a forearm from Nikki and a Rack Attack for the pin.

The main event is up next, the traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series match that pits Team Cena (John Cena, Ryback, Doph Ziggler, Erick Rowan and Big Show) against Team Authority (Seth Rollins, Luke Harper, Rusev, Mark Henry and Kane).

-       Big Show eliminates Mark Henry by pinfall with the KO Punch right off the bat after Triple H and Stephanie pumped him up, only for him to hilariously turn into the giant's fist.

-       Rusev eliminates Ryback by pinfall after the fight breaks down into chaos and Rollins Curb Stomps Da Big Guy, who eats a superkick from Rollins.

-       Rusev gets counted out when he tries to splash Dolph Ziggler through the announce table and Ziggler dodges. The Show Off gets back in the ring but Rusev can't answer the 10 count.

-       Luke Harper eliminates Erick Rowan with a clothesline.

-       With the match at 3-on-3, Big Show turns on Team Cena and clocks John Cena with a KO Punch. Seth Rollins pins the captain to eliminate him. Big Show then leaves, which presumably eliminates him from the match, as well.

-       Ziggler eliminates Kane with the Zig Zag.

-       Ziggler eliminates Harper with a roll up.

-       After Ziggler nearly beats Rollins a handful of times, Triple H takes out two referees and Pedigrees Ziggler. Crooked referee Scott Armstrong comes out to count the pin, but Sting's music hits!!!! He stalks down to the ring and knocks out Armstrong. He and Triple H stare each other down. Triple H tries to sucker punch him but Sting dodges and hits the Scorpion Death Drop. Sting places Ziggler on top of Rollins and gets the three count to give Team Cena the win.

Ziggler celebrates for a while and heads up the ramp, where Cena greets him with a hug. A stunned Stephanie McMahon crawls into the ring, where Triple H is in shock. The crowd does a Yes! chant and sings "Na Na Hey Hey." The husband and wife stand stunned in the ring for a few minutes as the crowd chants "You got fired!" Stephanie completely loses it and throws a tantrum as the show goes off the air.
