The Cleveland Indians and several other MLB teams are in dire need of batting power, and there isn't much better power that one can obtain than Andrew McCutchen and Yoenis Cespedes. Both have been suggested as being "available for the right price," but will they leave their teams? Where will they go? Andrew has just married Maria Hanslovan, so it's highly unlikely that he would want to take his wife to a brand new city, whereas Cespedes will be hoping to settle down. Would either star be willing to move, and where should they end up, and for what?
McCutchen proposed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show one year ago, and now the two finally married one another. On the show he told Maria, "I did this to show you that ... If I could tell the whole world how much I love you, I would do that." With the pair settling down to spend the rest of their lives together, could they be tempted into a move?
The Indians, and many other teams fell short last season, mainly because they lacked a star hitter. Both of these stars could make a championship-winning difference, and for that reason their current teams will want "top dollar' for them. Of course there's free agency batting power, but none that quite complete the transformation of one's roster like the one these stars could make.
Will two of the biggest players in the MLB be traded in the near future, or are their rival teams simply dreaming, hoping they can grab a difference-making bat?
