Meghan Trainor last night took to Jimmy Kimmel Live to even up the balance between Thanksgiving and Christmas carols, and in the process delivered a holiday album for the ages, then delivered a show-stopping performance on the Dancing With The Stars finale.
The "All About That Bass" star showcased her (fictional) Meghan Trainor's Thanksgiving Carols album, because, as Kimmel points out, "One of the things Thanksgiving is lacking, in my opinion, is music."
The host went on, saying "There are so many Christmas songs, there are literally thousands and thousands of christmas songs, but I think the closest thing we have to a song for Thanksgiving is the theme from The Golden Girls."
As Kimmel explains, Trainor was there to promote her "brand new album, of what I believe will soon be considered thanksgiving holiday classics"
As US Weekly report, some of the delectable treats from Trainor's made up, soon to be classic Thanksgiving album are: "My Flight Got Canceled in Denver (I'll Be Sleeping at an Airport Quiznos Tonight)", "Uncle Dan Hates Obama (And He Won't Shut Up About Benghazi)", "I'm Not Bringing Leftovers on the Plane, Mom", and "I Would Like to Leave (To Get Drunk With My Friends)".
She also offered up such soon-to-be-classics as "Whoa, Why Did Linda Bring Kevin? (Are They Back Together?)", "The Turkey is Still Frozen in the Middle" and "Long Ride to the Airport with Clint".
Trainor signs off with the sweetly sung "Grandma's A Racist (Pass the Yams)". You can check out the hilarious segement below.
The in-demand Trainor also appeared on the second night of the Dancing With The Stars season 14 finale last night, performing a stunning medley based around "All About That Bass" which segued into a huge stage number for "Lips Are Moving". It definitely got the crowd - and judges - moving! Hollywood Life called the performance "amazing".
