Corey Sligh Attacked: 'The Young And The Restless' Star Hit By Car & Drunkenly 'Beaten' On Thanksgiving, Girlfriend Alisa Berhorst Shocked

Reports confirm that aspiring model/actor Corey Sligh got into a heated altercation with a drunk driver on Thanksgiving (Thursday, November 27). While entering a Rite Aid in West Hollywood with his girlfriend on the festive holiday, Sligh approached the intoxicated motorist and told him to "slow down." That's the when the suspect hit the 27-year-old soap opera heartthrob before exiting the vehicle and attacking.

According to CBS LA, two men were speeding around the store's parking lot and causing a ruckus. Sligh approached the car, insisting that the driver slow down and go home before he called the cops. The inebriated individual did not appreciate Sligh's advice.

Sligh's actress girlfriend Alisa Berhorst told KCAL9's Laurie Perez, "They almost hit people in the parking lot. They were hitting curbs, and Corey said, 'Please slow down or we're gonna call the cops, just go home... The guy walked up on him like, 'I'm in the mood to kill somebody and this is who it's going to be because he told me to be careful and slow down and go away.'"

The LAPD confirm that the driver first hit Sligh before hopping out of the vehicle and physically beating "The Young And The Restless" star. Sligh was promptly transported to Cedars-Sinai and treated for multiple injuries, including a broken arm. Berhorst remains by her sweetheart's side, explaining, "The whole imagery of everything that happened last night is still very fresh and scary."

The two unidentified suspects sped away after the shocking attack, but were later found and arrested after crashing their car nearby. According to Berhorst, "I'm thankful he's okay. I'm thankful that we didn't get killed."

Sligh plays a bartender and waiter on the popular, long-running CBS drama. Sligh underwent surgery for his broken arm, and is still currently recovering. The couple were simply making a quick pit-stop at the local convenience store in order to pick-up some dinner for a friend. Sligh later posted these updates on Instagram:
