Prince Harry is taking a stand today against AIDs as he raises awareness for the disease in a new campaign. For World AIDS Day, Dec. 1, the British royal has launched the #FeelNoShame campaign through his organization Sentebale, with the goal to bring a voice to the disease and to get people's attention. In a new video for the campaign Prince Harry reveals one of his biggest secrets.
The thought behind exposing your biggest secret is that you "feel no shame" about it, which is what they are hoping people with AIDS feel when revealing their positive status.
In the video, the royal admits that he is actually terrified of public speaking.
"Today, World AIDS Day, my secret is, believe it or not, I get incredibly nervous before public speaking, no matter how big the crowd or the audience," Harry shyly explains. "Despite the fact that I laugh and joke all the time, I get incredibly nervous, if not anxious, actually, before going into a room full of people when I'm wearing a suit."
He also admits that now that he has exposed his secret that he is going to probably get even more nervous in the future when speaking in front of people.
"Now that I've confessed that, I'll probably be even more worried that people are looking at me," the redhead states. "But, thank you very much for everyone who's taken part, and I must encourage as many people to get involved as possible."
The hopes of the program are to follow in the footsteps of other standout social media campaigns, such as the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, and to get more and more people involved and exposing their secrets.
According to E! News, Harry has nominated stars Nicole Scherzinger, and Gemma Arterton to post a video to their social media sites exposing their secret.
