MTV's midseason finale for Faking It was pretty crazy. The executive producer is now breaking down exactly what happened in the season two midseason finale and explaining what all of the relationship drama meant.
The biggest issue that we have seen all season is the scandal between Amy Raudenfeld (played by Rita Volk) and Karma Ashcroft (played by Katie Stevens). They have had a lot to overcome in their friendship so far this season and despite both girls being arrested in Tuesday's episode, they will be okay when season two returns in 2015.
"In the end, I really wanted fans to know that [Karma and Amy are] going to be OK," executive producer Carter Covington told TV Line. "She's going to forgive Amy and try to move forward in their friendship."
In other Karma and Amy news, Karma's dream was actually really revealing according to Carter. "That dream Karma had shows her feelings are complicated. There are definitely still trust issues. Plus, she was dreaming about herself kissing Amy, so what's that?" she revealed to the publication.
When it comes to Karma and Liam Booker (played by Gregg Sulkin), who ended on an interesting note after Liam's dad got Karma and her parents out of jail (at a cost, of course), we are very interested to see what happens next for them. As TV Line previously reported, The Carrie Diaries alum Chloe Bridges will join the cast as Zita, a pretty girl who will throw another wrench in the already complicated relationship between Karma and Liam.
"[As for Karma] we'll see a little of how this loss of innocence has affected her. She's always wanted her life to be like a teen movie, and now she's realizing that might not be possible," Carter explained.
After Shane (played by Michael J. Willett) outed Duke (played by Skyler Maxon) and Duke shared his love for Shane with everyone, their future looked bright but complicated, which is what you'd expect from any couple on Faking It. "It's kind of a 'be careful what you wish for' scenario," the EP admitted to the publication.
The biggest negative about being outed is that now everyone will be giving Duke added attention, which will keep him from Shane. "Shane's going to realize that he had Duke all to himself before he outed him. Now he'll have to share him with a lot more people," Carter revealed.
