Watch 'Dying Light' 2015 Gameplay SPOILERS, Opening 15 Minutes Of Footage [VIDEO]

Dying Light looks like one of the most anticipated video games of 2015, so we're happy it has a release date set for Jan. 27 instead of later in the year. To get us even more excited for the free-running, zombie survival horror game, IGN debuted the first 15 minutes of gameplay footage that is sure to help you decide on how to play the title once you get your hands on it for PS4 and/or Xobx One! (SPOILERS to follow)

PlayStation Lifestyle points out that this new footage introduces us to a few characters and shows off the free-running capabilities of the game.

IGN explains that you should watch the 15-minute video to:

•  Find out more about the virus that has decimated civilization
•  Meet Dr Zere, the scientist who has a plan to save humanity, and learn about his gruesome experiments
•  Meet Spike, one of the leaders of the resistance
•  Learn how rigging traps helps you prepare for sundown
•  See the advantages of free-running and how the environment can be used to put distance between you and the zombie horde

We previously reported on the cancellation of Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Dying Light.

"After thorough internal testing, we have come to the conclusion that we have no choice but to leave past-gen systems behind and release Dying Light exclusively on the next-gen consoles and PC.," the developers at Techland explained. "Put simply, older consoles just couldn't run the game and stay true to the core vision of Dying Light at the same time."
