Claire Holt is finally back on The Originals and with her return comes some serious issues. When the series returns next week for the midseason finale, Rebekah Mikaelson (who is played by Holt) will still be in New Orleans, but what does she have in store for the upcoming episode?
When the vampire-based series comes back on Monday, Rebekah will have to deal with Marcel and letting go of baby Hope. "I will say that I definitely shot a scene with him," Claire told TV Line about her screen time with Charles Michael Davis (who plays Marcel). "But I can't say whether it's romantic or positive or whatever."
The last time we saw Rebekah, she was leaving town with her brother Klaus's daughter Hope to protect her. Last week's episode (which aired on November 24) was the first time we have seen Rebekah since season one and it was a big episode. Now that she is back Claire revealed that she has had an amazing time filming with The Originals cast again.
"When Rebekah left in Episode 116, it was just a crazy time for her. There was a lot of tension and friction [with her brothers], so this is one of the few times the family can come back together on the same team," the 26-year-old actress explained to the publication.
Despite the happiness of being reunited as a family, which Joseph Morgan described last month as "heartwarming stuff" to TV Line, Rebekah will have to deal with letting Hope go now that she is with her father and mother Hayley (played by Phoebe Tonkin).
"We learn how much raising Hope has led Rebekah to crave that child of her own, even more so now than she already did," Holt revealed. "She knows Hayley is Hope's mother, and she has to return her, but she's fiercely protective and loves that child. It's going to be difficult for her."
There is no news on when Holt will be making another appearance after the December 8 episode, but she is open to returning whenever the storyline allows it. Fingers crossed it is soon!
