It looks like Will Ferrell is going Shakespeare! Well, at least for a little bit. The funnyman actor has been tied to a new film project with Mosaic, one that has now been purchased by Sony, the very same company who partnered with Ferrell on the likes of Step Brothers, The Other Guys and Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. Sony Pictures Entertainment has reportedly purchased the project and will oversee production and distribution. The currently untitled comedy will center around the world inside a Shakespearean theater company.
Variety reports that screenwriters David Guion and Michael Handelman – a pair who have inadvertently become "two of Hollywood's go-to" writers in the field of comedy – will write the project. In the past, the writing team has worked on scripts for the Vince Vaughn-Owen Wilson led film The Internship, Ben Stiller's The Watch, Ferrell's Blades of Glory and Men in Black III.
On top of those, they will celebrate the release of their latest project, Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, which stars Stiller alongside the late Robin Williams and will be released this coming Dec. 19. Secret of the Tomb will sit as the last of the three Night at the Museum films.

So, what else can we expect from the former Saturday Night Live player until his Shakespeare film comes out? According to IMDB, the actor has a crazy busy schedule. Aside from acting as a producer on the 2014 Lego Movie and serving as an exec producer on NBC's now-canceled Bad Judge, the comedic actor will be seen in a number of projects in the coming year, including Get Hard, Daddy's Home and Zeroville.
And yes, we'll be seeing him reprise his role of Mugatu in Zoolander 2, which is only in the script phase as of this reporting.
