‘The Mindy Project’ Recap: “What About Peter?” Reveals Baby Troubles And A New Roommate For Danny

This week's all-new episode of The Mindy Project was all about Danny's new tenant and the next step for his relationship with Mindy. "What About Peter?" revolves around Peter's life change and someone's baby drama.

The episode begins with Mindy bragging about Danny and all of his great qualities. Although he can make a very tasty steak and knows how to fix her closet, he doesn't like everything she does and that is why she has Peter to take with her on fun outings.

When Mindy goes to Peter's house before they go out for the night she realizes that he lives in an adult frat house, which is not good. As she stands in the common area waiting for Peter, one of his roommates manages to take off her bra and underwear without touching her... which is a very creepy college guy move.

The next day Mindy tells Danny that she is going to brunch with Peter, but he doesn't want to tag along. He doesn't think he needs friends when he has a girlfriend, which is sweet but sad. Meanwhile Peter reveals that he needs to move out but no one will rent to him, which sparks a borderline crazy idea from Mindy. Mindy decides that Peter should move into Danny's other apartment, which he was planning to rent anyways.

In a switch to Jeremy, Lauren asks him to watch her son Henry for the weekend and he gladly accepts. After she leaves Morgan comes in and tells Jeremy that he will help him babysit, but Jeremy turns him down because he thinks he knows what he is doing.

Back to Danny's apartment, Mindy reveals that Peter is going to live in the open apartment and after she asks nicely, Danny reluctantly agrees. Even though Danny decides to let him live there he sets a seriously amount of rules that must be followed, including never coming over to his apartment unannounced.

Later that day Peter comes over and makes them dinner as a thank you and it is adorable. He is already becoming more of an adult by being near them as a couple. When he goes to leave for the night he reveals that he doesn't have a bed because his roommates popped his waterbed in protest of him leaving. Mindy then quickly offers up the couch in Danny's place, which Danny again reluctantly agrees to.

After Danny stops Mindy from trying to have sex with him that night, since Peter in the other room makes him uncomfortable, Mindy goes to watch TV with Peter on the couch and you can tell that Danny is unhappy.

The next day we switch to Jeremy and he is absolutely terrible at babysitting. Just then Morgan walks in and saves the day. The baby loves Morgan, which isn't surprising. He agrees to help Jeremy take care of the baby and Jeremy promises to pay him in soda, which Morgan is stoked about. After a series of awkward events, they finally discover that the baby loves seeing Jeremy get injured so he keeps harming himself until Henry falls asleep. As Morgan goes to leave he knocks over a bunch of things and wakes up the baby and then quickly leaves the scene.

Back to Danny, he comes home after a long day at work to sexy music, and cannoli (which already have the filling eaten out of them by Mindy) and then he goes to the shower to surprise Mindy when he realizes that it is actually Peter! After grabbing Peter's butt, Danny is pissed that he is always over. Mindy eventually talks him down and Peter agrees not to come over anymore if he can keep the other apartment.

The next day Danny's handyman comes over and tells Mindy that he can expand Danny's place into his other apartment for "their family," which makes Mindy happy. She automatically thinks that means Danny wants her to move in and therefore she kicks Peter out of the other apartment.

That night Peter throws a crazy ragger out of spite and both Danny and Mindy get upset. Mindy accidentally spills that she knows that Danny wants her to move in with him which leads to an awkward moment between the happy couple. Meanwhile, Peter slides off his table slide out the window and ends up in the hospital.

When Danny goes to visit Peter in the hospital he is still mad, but Peter helps him with his Mindy problem so he allows Peter to still hangout with them outside of work. After Peter explains that Mindy is all in when it comes to their relationship, Danny realizes he is wrong and goes to apologize. When he finds Mindy she is cleaning up for Danny's mother Annette, whom he revealed the add-on would be for.

Danny apologizes and tells her that even though he is scared if she wants to move in she can. Mindy plays it off really cool and tells him that she just wants someone on her level and if that isn't him then she will be okay. This sparks something in Danny and he asks what it would take for her to move in with him? Mindy tells him all he has to do is ask when he is not scared anymore... very interesting!
