Heading towards its sixth episode, El Rey Network delivers another high octane match in its wrestling series entitled, Lucha Underground. From Emmy award winning Mark Burnett (Survivor), viewers should get ready for Johnny Mundo, former WWE star John Morrison, and Chavo Guerrero, dive right into the ring in 'The Key.'
Ever since launching his own network, renowned filmmaker Robert Rodriguez has thrilled audiences with his From Dusk Till Dawn TV series and the sports/espionage Matador. Now El Rey rides into lucha libre, the no-holds barred world of freestyle wrestling and high-flying aerial maneuvers. Get ready to meet these wrestling warriors who are going to steal the show from their rivals and take the ring by storm.
In Mexico's most popular sport, the masked villains and heroes confront against each other in riveting one-on-one matches. From our previous report, we first met Blue Demon Jr., the adopted son of the legendary original Blue Demon. In Mexico's cinematic history, Blue Demon appeared in the luchador movies along with El Santo (The Saint).
As we previously mentioned, Burnett takes wrestling fans backstage and gives them ringside seats. The masked villains and heroes tell their life stories before facing off against each other in a match. As the 39 episode run continues, get ready for your minds to be blown by slingshot moves, colorful masks, and quick-moving combinations.
According to the plot synopsis, Big Ryck prepares himself to signs a contract with Dario Cueto. While Johnny Mundo steals a prized possession, Sexy Star is back with Fenix. The wrestling duo will take on Chavo Guerrero and Pentagon Jr.
