Marvel Comics presents two new teasers for next year's game-changing crossover event, Secret Wars. With the map of Battleworld, can we be able to tell "When Everything Ends," like the tapeline says, with Planet Hulk, X-Men '92, and the Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows?
Previously announced at New York Comic Con, the rebooted Secret Wars #1 comes from the creative team of writer Jonathan Hickman (Avengers) and artist Esad Ribic (Thor: God of Thunder). Legendary painter Alex Ross illustrates the Marvel superheroes in a spectacular battle that spreads across the universe. In this eight-issue event, the Marvel superheroes from separate realities are going to come together to meet in an epic standoff.
We previously reported on the cover for the first installment and the Battleworld trailer. Each alternate universe forms the new Battleworld in Hickman and Ribic's Secret Wars. In the original Jim Shooter and Mike Zeck's Secret Wars comic, Battleworld was a planet that the Beyonder put together from numerous worlds. The Beyonder envisioned a battleground for all of the Marvel's superheroes and super-villains to fight in.
The biggest comic event of 2015 is being setup in the current pages of Avengers and New Avengers. We will all soon discover what happens when "Time Runs Out." The white cover on When Everything Ends could mean some characters and titles are coming back when this is all over.
If you compare the map to the video, you will recognize which number belongs to which title. According to Newsarama, Planet Hulk belongs to Greenland and Age of Apocalypse matches up with Domain of Apocalypse. Notice how there are three spots left classified, which could mean there are still a few teasers left to for Marvel to tease us with.
