Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer is turning to religion during her time of need. The reality star has had a rough go of it over the last year or so, as she not only has struggled with a painkiller addiction, but is also reportedly getting a divorce from her second husband, Jeremy Calvert. Messer and Calvert have one child together, while she has two kids, Ali and Aleeah, from her previous marriage with ex-husband, Corey Simms. It also doesn't help Leah's situation that she is also dealing with a pretty rough custody battle with Simms while all of this other drama is going on in her life.
However, it seems that Leah might have found a little bit of peace during this troubling time, as she has reportedly turned to God to help with her struggles.
Radar Online is reporting that the star has been frequenting Sissonville Community Church in West Virginia, where she is seeking refuge from her pastor, who is also a recovering addict.
During one of his sermons, the preacher explained "that bad habits like drugs, sex and alcoholism can be broken when one finds Jesus," according to a fellow churchgoer.
It seems that Leah took his message to heart as an eyewitness told In Touch, that the Teen Mom star "nodded her head in agreement the entire time," adding "it seems to really hit home for her."
"She started going to a church that embraces forgiveness and recovery," the source told Radar. "She's determined to make a complete turn around. She's finally ready to clean up the wreckage of her past."
