Joe Jonas: Demi Lovato Chooses Nick Jonas Over Ex-Boyfriend for X Factor

Joe Jonas' ex-girlfriend Demi Lovato has chosen his younger brother Nick Jonas to join her team on X Factor USA premiering September 2012.  Nick was rumored to be in the talks with American Idol however he is now confirmed to join the competitor X Factor as a guest mentor, according to Hollywood Reporter.

Guest mentors will help the judges to select the final 16 out of 32 contestants that will perform for the live episodes.  The Examiner reported that some major changes have been made to the X Factor format for the upcoming season.  Age-based categories have been assigned to the judges as followed.

• Solo singers ages 12 to 16 - Demi Lovato

• Solo singers ages 17 to 24 - Britney Spears

• Solo singers ages 25 and over - L.A. Reid
• Groups - Simon Cowell

Lovato and Nick have been friends since the early days when she toured together with the Jonas Brothers.  She also had the infamous breakup with Joe Jonas, where he reportedly dumped her over the phone.  

The beautiful pop singer has moved on and is now soaring in her career.
