Fantastic Four Movie Plot Details Released

Josh Trank's reboot of the Fantastic Four movie franchise is scheduled to hit theaters on August 7, 2015, and some new plot details about the film have been released.

Movie review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes posted the following synopsis:

"The Fantastic Four, a contemporary reimagining of Marvel's original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy."

IGN confirmed with Fox that these details are accurate.

Michael B. Jordan, who plays The Human Torch in the film, told IGN during the summer that Trank's version of the Fantastic Four would be "grounded."

"It'll be about the characters," he said. "We're getting down to the nuts and bolts of acting with his larger-than-life 'bigger world' idea. So it's going to be pretty cool."

The movie also stars Miles Teller as Reed Richards, Kate Mara as Sue Storm, Jamie Bell as The Thing and Toby Kebbell as Victor Von Doom.
