It's finally that time of year - hockey season!
The Vancouver Canucks battle it out on the ice against the Pittsburgh Penguins in Week 8 of the regular season on Thursday, December 4 at 7:00 p.m. EST at the CONSOL Energy Center in Pennsylvania. Read on to see where fans can watch and listen to a live stream of the Thursday night hockey game online and catch up-to-date feeds and coverage on highlight plays and scores.
Following the first few opening weeks of the 2014 regular season, the Canucks snag the No. 8 spot in Scott Burnside's official NHL power ranking for ESPN.com with a 17-7-1 record:
"The Canucks had their three-game winning streak cut off by the Red Wings, but they're still tied atop the Pacific."
Meanwhile, the Penguins currently hold the impressive No. 3 spot (out of 30 total teams) with a 17-5-2 record. According to Burnside:
"The Penguins had difficulty with the Hurricanes, splitting a weekend set, but they are tied with the Blackhawks for the league's best goal differential at plus-26. Offseason acquisition Christian Ehrhoff had his first goal of the season in Saturday's 3-2 win."
The game will be broadcasted live on local channels RSN and ROOT, but fans can also listen in on the radio at Team 1040, CKNW, 105.9 The X, and WNIO.
