The Disney film, which hits theaters on March 15, 2015 stars Lily as Cinderella herself, Helena Bonham Carter as the Fairy Godmother, Richard Madden as Prince Charming and Cate Blanchett as the Evil Stepmother. This Cinderella will be a live-action version as opposed to the iconic animated film that is 65 years old.
The 25-year-old actress also talked about her love life in the magazine. Lily is currently dating Matt Smith, who starred on Doctor Who. "In regards to your love life, you're just entering into a whole of pain if you talk about it," she explained to the publication. "If you've never said anything, there are no sound bites to haunt you when you're crying into a box of Kleenex after it all goes wrong."
In order to get to know the new InStyle cover girl, the publication revealed a list of things her fans might not know about her. The most interesting facts relate to her style, who she gets social media tips from and her picturesque childhood.
Despite her feminine appearance on the cover of the magazine, Lily's personal style is more on par with a tomboy. "She's a tomboy — we met her at London's Soho Hotel dressed in a beanie, navy dungarees, a Breton sweater and scruffy Converse (ok, they were sparkly Missoni ones)," the publication reported.
In order to keep up with social media trends, the young actress revealed that she looks to George Clooney. "When I met him, he said that when they're casting, they GENUINELY lookout your Twitter followers. I don't know if it makes me want to cry or makes me think, fuck it, if that's the way the world's going then embrace it," she told InStyle.
Last but not least, Lily had a pretty great childhood. "My dad used to sing songs about the stinging nettles. We'd be on our bikes and he'd be singing at the top of his voice in the woods," the actress revealed.
