Ryan Reynolds has been trying to make a Deadpool standalone movie for quite some time now. Over the summer, reactions to "leaked" test footage of Blake Lively's husband performing a motion-capture portrayal of the Marvel Comics antihero definitely helped studio heads at Fox want to move forward with the film. Since then, we've heard updates about a release date in 2016, director Tim Miller signing on to helm the project, and even a PG-13 rating coming into play. This week, Reynolds took to Twitter to pretty much confirm that he's definitely signing on for the project. Check out the fun photo below!

So what should we expect from this movie? We know that Deadpool is a self-aware comic book character, often breaking the fourth wall and addressing the audience, so imagine that in film form! He's probably going to make fun of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, too - especially how his character was pretty much ruined, according to the majority of comic fans that hated that movie.
In other words, this could be on of the best comic book movies for a lot of reason, plus it'll be linked to the X-Men universe in some ways!
