Kate Hudson, Matt Bellamy Break Up: Couple Splits After Three Years Together, Pregnancy & Engagement

Is this the sequel to How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days? Kate Hudson has just split from her longtime boyfriend Matthew Bellamy right before ringing in the holiday season together. The pair, who has been dating for over three years, have also been engaged since April of 2011. Goldie Hawn's daughter and the Muse lead singer also have a son together, Bingham, who they welcomed into the world in the summer of 2011.

According to Radar Online, it seems that despite their steamy romance and longtime dating, it wasn't enough to make Hudson and Bellamy commit to a marriage with each other.

While the 35-year-old actress wanted to get married to the singer, it seems that her interest in the idea took a turn earlier this year, as she told Kelly Ripa when she appeared on Live! With Kelly and Michael in February, that she wasn't so keen on the idea of matrimony anymore.

"My parents aren't married," the star told the host. "And [planning a wedding is] a lot ... So no. Not [getting married] anytime soon, no."

According to Hollywood Life, a source close to Hudson also spoke to X17 saying that while she has so much love for Bellamy that she doesn't think getting hitched to him is the right choice.

"Kate doesn't ever want to get divorced again, and she wasn't sure marriage with Matt was the right choice," the insider revealed. "There is still a lot of love there, and they plan to amicably co-parent their son. Who knows what the future holds for them, but right now it's not a wedding."

Hearing couples breakup this close to the holidays always makes us so sad, but you know what they say, the holiday season is known to claim a few relationships here and there.
