It's finally that time of year - hockey season!
The Chicago Blackhawks battle it out on the ice against the New Jersey Devils in Week 9 of the regular season on Tuesday, December 9 at 7:00 p.m. EST at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. Read on to see where fans can watch and listen to a live stream of the Tuesday evening hockey game online and catch up-to-date feeds and coverage on highlight plays and scores.
Following the first few opening weeks of the 2014 regular season, the Blackhawks snag the impressive No. 1 spot in Scott Burnside's official NHL power rankings for ESPN.com with an 18-8-1 winning record:
"The Blackhawks are on a tear with six straight wins and have won 11 of 13 in spite of the loss of rockin' Corey Crawford. They have a league-best plus-32 goal differential and will get Patrick Sharp back this week."
Meanwhile, the Devils currently hold the meager No. 25 spot (out of 30 total teams) with a 10-13-4 record. According to Burnside:
"Things are ugly in New Jersey, with bodies dropping like flies -- Mike Cammalleri and Patrik Elias are already ruled out of Monday's game in Raleigh -- and the Devils continuing to drop through the standings with just two wins in their past 10 games."
The game will be broadcasted live on local channels CSNC and MSG+, but fans can also listen in on the radio at WGN, WBUZ, WFAN, and 97.1 The Ticket.
