With The Flash speeding past its first crossover event on the CW network, the superhero TV show is now heading its winter finale. Not only will Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) meet his the man who killed his mother, will Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) wish Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell) was dead when she sees him as Firestorm?
In our previous recap, the particle accelerator explosion was heading towards a massive radiation leak that would have killed everyone in S.T.A.R. Labs. Ronnie (Amell) sacrificed himself to save his fiancee and Cisco (Carlos Valdes). Caitlin thought Ronnie died being a hero as his entire body was burnt into flames.
Towards the end of the of the crossover event, we discover Ronnie is indeed alive but he's really not doing so well. Dressed like a homeless bum, Ronnie was about to be robbed by two thugs. Changed by the particle accelerator explosion, Ronnie then chased after the two robbers as his hands suddenly burst into flames.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg reveals things aren't going to go so well between Caitlin and Ronnie, "She actually wishes he just died. Not that she ever had closure, she certainly didn't having lost him, but now it's worse for her because he's walking around and he's not himself. Whether or not he can be brought home becomes part of the second half of the season."
Check out a behind-the-scenes-look at the winter finale here:
As we previously mentioned, the title of the episode is The Man in the Yellow Suit. Haunted by the memory of his mother's murder, Barry (Gustin) wants nothing more than revenge. Will he become so consumed by vengeance, that he's willing to "break someone's neck?"
The winter finale of The Flash airs December 9 at 8pm on the CW. Readers, are you excited to see the Reverse-Flash and Firestorm?
