It's finally that time of year - hockey season!
The New York Islanders battle it out on the ice against the St. Louis Blues in Week 9 of the NHL regular season on Thursday, December 11 at 8:00 p.m. EST at Scottrade Center in Missouri. Read on to see where fans can watch and listen to a live stream of the Thursday night hockey game online and catch up-to-date feeds and coverage on highlight plays and scores.
Heading into the first few weeks of the 2014 regular season, the Islanders snag the impressive No. 5 spot in Scott Burnside's official power rankings for ESPN.com with a 19-9-0 record:
"You watch games like Saturday's 6-4 loss to St. Louis in which the Isles blew a 3-0 first-period lead, and you ponder whether or not they're the real deal. Still, what is undeniable is the fact the Isles have not lost two in a row in well over a month and lead the league with a 5-0 record in shootouts."
Meanwhile, the Blues currently hold the No. 8 spot (out of 30 total teams) with an 18-8-2 record. According to Burnside:
"Nice to see Martin Brodeur get his first win as a Blue, even if it was in relief of Jake Allen on Saturday. The performance earned the living legend a home start Monday night."
The game will be broadcasted live on local channels FSMW and MSG+, but fans can also listen in on the radio at 99.9 The Fan, WRHU, KMOX, and KTUI-FM.
