Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer is on the verge of divorce with husband Jeremy Calvert, but she can now at least breathe easier because her custody battle with ex-husband, Corey Simms, is finally over.
In a dramatic tug-of-war for twins Ali and Aleeah that played out in front of the cameras, Corey will now get the girls three nights a week, while Leah will get them for four. This includes both of them being there during Ali's doctor visits for muscular dystrophy.
"There will be a shared responsibility to get her to and from appointments," Rusty Webb, Corey's attorney, told Radar Online. "Both parents will be present for her therapy visits."
While the reality dad's lawyer says, "they're both very happy with the situation," apparently, that is not so on Leah's end.
"Leah is upset with Corey and [his wife] Miranda," a source told Radar. "She didn't want to lose any time with the girls."
The MTV star is so dismayed over the new custody agreement that she refuses to be with Corey and his wife on their daughters' birthday.
"There will be two different parties," the source said.
As MStars News reported, Leah decided not to come back for another season of her hit reality show due to fear of losing custody of her twin girls.
"Leah's final court date is coming up, and her behavior on the show made her look really bad to the judge," a source told Radar.
"Leah's daughters are her number one priority," the source continued. "Now that the show could lead her to lose custody, she's ready to leave her reality TV life behind."
However, the mother of three changed her mind and decided to sign on for another season of Teen Mom 2 after being criticized by co-star Jenelle Evans for leaving the show.
"We r on the show to share our struggles, not hide them. Thanks for everyone's support over the years! Love u guys!," Jenelle tweeted in an obvious dig to her fellow "teen mom."
