The NFL have announced that suspended child abuser and Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson's appeal of his season-long suspension has been denied. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell appointed former NFL executive Harold Henderson to hear Petersin's appeal against the suspension that was handed down after the player was charged with whipping his four year old son with a switch.
NFL PR's Greg Aiello tweeted out the findings of Henderson, saying:
"I conclude that the player has not demonstrated that the process and procedures surrounding his discipline were not fair and consistent. He was afforded all the protections and rights to which he is entitled, and I find no basis to vacate or reduce the discipline."

ESPN's Adam Schefter had reported that there was a decision coming today, tweeting out half an hour before the decision dropped "a decision on Adrian Peterson's appeal expected sometime around 5 ET."

Then came the decision: "Adrian Peterson's appeal denied, per NFL."

ESPN's Kevin Seifert then tweeted that a "reasonable guess" would be that Peterson's next step against the NFL is a lawsuit:
Some of you are asking if a lawsuit is the next step for Adrian Peterson. That's a reasonable guess. — Kevin Seifert (@SeifertESPN) December 12, 2014
As Sports Illustrated report, it was back on Nov. 4 that Peterson pleaded 'no contest' to the charge of Misdemeanor Reckless Assault for whipping his 4 year old son with a switch.
The New York Post's Bart Hubbuch also revealed that Minnesota "have no plans to cut or trade ways" the superstar running back during his suspension. Hubbuch added that Peterson's future beyond this season was a "decision left up to GM Rick Spielman and coach Mike Zimmer."
What do you think? Do you agree with the appeal being denied? Was the season-long suspension justified? Should Peterson launch a lawsuit against the NFL?
