Get ready to take a trip back down to Bluebell because Zoe Hart and the rest of the zany gang are back for another dose of Hart of Dixie. The Rachel Bilson CW series, returns tonight for one episode before airing the rest of its season beginning January 9. We can't wait to head back down to the Rammer Jammer for some fried chicken and a good strong helping of some Zoe and Wade drama.
The fourth season of the show was cut down from a 22-episode order to a 10-episode season, according to E! News, but don't fret because the news site went straight to executive producer Leila Gerstein to find out the fate of the beloved show.
"Well, I can't speak to that, as the decision to renew or cancel is out of my hands," the executive productive explained. "I can tell the fans that this season is for you and you're going to love this season. No one is going to unsatisfied by the end. Obviously we hope for many, many more seasons but everyone will be happy with this season."
She also explains, that while the creators have had some stories in mind that they were saving for future episodes, that they packed all the ideas into this season, should it be the show's last.
"This is a short season, obviously, as it's only 10 episodes, but they are jam-packed with story," Leila told the news site. "Everyone is going to be satisfied that by the end of the 10 episodes, all the central love triangles have been resolved, all the central questions have been answered and we're going to have a lot of fun along the way. We have been saving a lot of stuff for each of the stories and we decided to burn through it all this year."
Does that also include Rachel Bilson's pregnancy, which we think will be incorporated into the series?
While CW president Mark Pedowitz revealed earlier this year on a press tour that the show would definitely include Zoe's pregnancy, it seems that the writers are going to be treading very carefully around the topic, at least according to Bustle.
The series will air tonight on The CW.
