'Real Housewives Of New York' Bethenny Frankel's Salary Causes a Mutiny in the Cast!

Real Housewives of New York star Bethenny Frankel's triumphant return to the show that made her famous may not be as great as she hoped with behind-the-scenes drama regarding her enormous salary embroiling the rest of the cast.

According to the NY Daily News, Bravo lured the former talk show host back with a reported $250,000 an episode contract. However, with such a vast amount of money the network had to cut costs elsewhere.

"Everybody knows that Bethenny grabbed a big chunk of LuAnn's (de Lesseps) paycheck, and LuAnn got demoted; a big chunk of Ramona's (Singer) paycheck, and Ramona got demoted," a source told the paper. "She basically clawed her way to the top of the salary ladder on the backs of LuAnn, Ramona and the other Housewives who didn't get the raises that they normally would have gotten."

"Carole Radziwill and the Countess (de Lesseps) are so upset over it that they're trying to limit their camera time with Bethenny," the source continued.

Tabloid gossip site Radar Online echoed the Daily News's report, however saying she's earning a million dollars instead.

"Ramona is absolutely outraged that Bethenny is making a million dollars, especially after her failed talk show," a source told Radar. "But Bethenny wasn't going to come back earning less than any of the Housewives, and held out to be paid the most."

"It's especially frustrating for Bethenny's co-stars because she isn't bringing the drama that was expected," according to the site.

As MStars News reported, the network is fed up with the Skinnygirl entrepreneur's diva antics while filming the new season of RHONY. At an event honoring co-star Sonja Morgan, the Bethenny Ever After star refused to participate in any of the producers' wishes.

"[Bethenny] was even giving the Bravo team problems when they were trying to set up shots, too," a source said. "The Bravo team's job is to set up conversations and to direct and create the action to some degree. So Bethenny was trying to stonewall them every chance she'd get."
