'Suicide Squad' Rumors: Will Viola Davis' Amanda Waller, Deathstroke, Slade Wilson, Team-up Against Task Force X?

Warner Bros. is aiming to add more big names to the phenomenal cast of the super-villain team, Task Force X. As the rumor mill keeps running, will Viola Davis (How To Get Away With Murder) be joining alongside as Amanda Waller and teaming-up with Slade Wilson, aka Deathstroke The Terminator in the Suicide Squad movie?

As we previously mentioned, when the government has a mission too hot for the superheroes to handle, they send in the bad guys to take care of the business. In a plot reminiscent of The Dirty Dozen, if the Suicide Squad - which includes the captured band of super-villains Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang - survives their deadly mission, their prison sentence will then be reduced.

In the biggest casting news event, Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Jared Leto (Joker), Will Smith (Deadshot), Tom Hardy (Rick Flag), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), and Cara Delevingne (Enchantress) have all signed on the dotted line to star in writer/director David Ayer (End of Watch)'s action/heist flick

In the mythology, the team is run by government agent, Amanda Waller, who has earned the nickname "The Wall" by her associates. Reportedly, Oprah Winfrey and Octavia Spencer was also in talks to join the cast. Comic book fans would also love actress CCH Pounder (The Shield), who's voiced the character in the animated movie, Batman: Assault on Arkham, to reprise her role.

With Davis confirmed as Waller, will the Disturbia actress be seen alongside Deathstroke? According to ComicBookMovie, a reddit user was part of a focus testing session for DC's upcoming film and states, "What we were given mentioned Harley Quinn being needed to decipher a complex series of bombs planted throughout Gotham. Harley is estranged from The Joker, and her knowledge is being used to figure out where The Joker has placed the bombs. Deathstroke is a Amanda Waller's personal bodyguard, and he's placed in the squad to oversee that they do not deviate from the mission perimeters. The plot then becomes more complex as The Joker has a far more complex goal in mind."

We also mentioned that Task Force X will be seen in LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham as "The Squad." The name has changed because this is a kids game and you don't want them saying "suicide."
