'Taylor Swift On Campus' Contest Pranked by Trolls

Taylor Swift On Campus is a contest that will bring Swift to perform at the school with the most votes.  Internet trolls at a web forum called 4chan targeted Taylor Swift recently and is trying to send her to "Horace Mann School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing."

A user on the 4chan forum wrote, "Taylor Swift is having a competition to perform at the school who has the most votes online ... Let's make her go to Horace Mann's School for the Deaf."

Already the Boston-based school for the deaf received 47,980 votes.  It is not known where the school's votes stand in comparison with other schools, but it is clear that the prankster got many people to help him make a joke out of the contest.

Though thousands of people are backing the joke, there are many more who think that it is not funny.  To many, the prank is another form of bullying towards the deaf.  

The Boston schoo;'s principal Jeremiah Ford told the Herald, "I don't think it's funny at all," and "I don't know what motivates [them], but it's clearly backfired on them. I think it would be an opportunity to educate the world that deaf people can do anything including listening to music."

The school that wins the most votes will also receive $10,000 to go towards a music program. If Horace Mann wins, the president said he'd be glad to accept the money for a music program.
