The Season 4 midseason finale of ABC's Revenge shocked fans with the death of Daniel Grayson, who died protecting Emily Thorne. But could his passing actually do the unthinkable and bring Emily and Victoria closer together?

It certainly sounds like something in their relationship will change in the wake of Daniel's death. The following comes from the "Spoiler Chat" column at E! Online.

"After Daniel's death on #Revenge, will something change between Emily and Victoria? Or does their hate grow?

Expect to see a major shift in the duo's dynamic after Daniel's death...and David's past deeds come to light. 'Emily will have to learn what her father was really about and see the David-Victoria relationship for what it actually is, which is something that will help deepen her relationship with her father,' showrunner Sunil Nayar teases of our badass heroine in the second half of the season."

Actor Josh Bowman recently spoke to EW.com, which asked how he felt about Daniel's arc in Season 4. "Yeah, I loved it. I honestly think they executed it very well. I thought it wasn't too rushed and it wasn't too slow. It was just right. At the beginning of the season, people wouldn't be rooting for Daniel. I've seen a lot of things, 'Kill him off! Kill him off!' Now, they're like, 'No!' Once something happens, people go, 'Well, he was actually a good guy.' That's a testament to the great writing on the show and how they engineered it. They redeemed him, which was good. I thought that was the only way he could go. He's always been this tragic character of this show. He's an innocent victim, who got wrapped up in this world because of his family and because of a woman."
