Lords of the Fallen, which was released on Halloween of 2014, is officially getting a sequel sometime in the near future according to the game's creator, Tomasz Gop. While the announcement is pretty great for those that enjoyed the game that has been compared to Dark Souls and Demon Souls, we don't have much more information about any updates or what to expect from the story. For now, we can just hope that 2015 or 2016 holds a great sequel.

"We're now working on a vision and concepts for Lords 2," Gop told Eurogamer this week, and then announced it on his Facebook as well.
As far as a release date is concerned, we're not too surprised that we haven't heard of a window for that considering the first title was just released less than two months ago. We're also not surprised that Lords of the Fallen is getting a sequel. Gamespot reports that the game cost about $12.4 million to make, which was recouped earlier this year about a week after its release.
Polygon points out that, from Dec. 17 through Dec. 23., Lords of the Fallen's price has dropped to $39.99 for a limited time at GameStop.
IGN's review of the game called it "Lite Souls," referring to its similarities to Demon Souls and Dark Souls, but saying it isn't as challenging.
"It achieves its goal of creating a more accessible Dark Souls-style experience, but unfortunately it goes a step or two too far," the review stated.
