Britney Spears Engagement Rumors, Charlie Ebersol Christmas Gift: Boyfriend Of Two Months Proposing On Holiday?

Is Britney Spears getting a ring for Christmas? The "Piece of Me" Vegas showstopper might have only been seeing her new boyfriend Charlie Ebersol for two months, but there are already reports circulating that the couple are looking to celebrate the holidays in a pretty big way: by getting engaged. Brit and Charlie began dating shortly after her relationship with David Lucado ended in August, but it looks like the fall fling between her and Ebersol might be the real thing.

According to Radar Online, the Queen of Pop is looking to settle down with Charlie and she just might get her wish, as he is allegedly looking to put a ring on her finger next week.

The site is also reporting that Britney will be celebrating her new engagement at Mel Gibson's Costa Rican estate, where an engagement party will be held. Mel and Brit become close after the actor helped her through her 2008 breakdown.

And it looks like Brit's boyfriend has quickly won over her papa, Jamie Spears, as he was completely on board with the union, according to reports from The National Enquirer.

"They've been moving closer at light speed, and when Charlie suggested to Jamie that he ask for Britney's hand in marriage, Jamie quickly said yes," the insider revealed, adding, "Jamie really trusts Charlie. He thinks he has good intentions, good morals and a lot in common with Britney."

Charlie is a writer and producer and is the son of NBC Sports former chairman Dick Ebersol.
