American Horror Story: Freak Show is all new tonight and viewers better get ready as fan favorite Pepper is about to take the spotlight. In this brand-new episode, Pepper's backstory will finally get revealed. Actress, Naomi Grossman, who plays the coneheaded character, will finally get her time to shine as the episode titled "Orphans" will revolve around her and how she ended up going from Elsa's Cabinet of Curiosities to Briarcliff Manor.
According to E! News, Pepper, who has spend much of the last ten episodes of the fourth season as sort of a maid to Elsa, viewers will finally get to see her take on a meatier role.
Grossman spoke out to the news site to give them some spoilers on the scenes in tonight's episode and we couldn't be more excited as she described it as "momentous" and "beautiful."
"Phew, it's momentous. I think it's beautiful, I think the story they wrote for me is infinitely lovelier than even the one I created for myself. It's a roller coaster," the star explained. "Like any AHS character, it's complex and full- like an onion you keep peeling away and there's just more and you cry and cry and cry."
She also reveals that she didn't have much to go on when it came to the background story for her character, saying, "All I had was basically whatever had come in previous scripts. Elsa made mention of finding us at an orphanage, gnawing on rats. So I had that, and that's pretty much it."
Fans will also be happy to hear that Lily Rabe's character of Sister Mary Eunice, who was also featured in season 2's Asylum, will make her reappearance in this episode.
"I was thrilled she was able to come back, give us a couple days, and show how Sister Mary Eunice and Pepper are connected," creator Ryan Murphy explained to Yahoo. "She's so great in that role."
The episode, which will also serve as the winter finale, will air tonight on FX at 10 p.m.
